Alipurduar Primary Schools Facing Headmaster Less Situation

Webdesk, TNI Falakata, 30^th January, 2017: Many primary schools of Alipurduar District presently don’t have any Headmaster. This has created a guardian less situation for running those schools. Some of the schools have just only a teacher. The lone teacher has to run the schools from the pre-primary to 4th standard classes. The last time schools of the then Alipurduar subdivision had a mass promotion drive. However, presently after the district reorganization and subsequently, the creation of a new district i.e. Alipurduar district did not have any such promotion drive for the primary school teachers. This is primarily one of the main reasons for such Headmaster less vacuum in the schools. The primary school teachers have only one chance for promotion in their lifetime. However, the primary school teachers are presently not having this opportunity also. However, the grievance is doubled when the adjacent Coochbehar district had already promoted many teachers to the headmaster position and are now recruiting new teachers. Till now no notification has been issued for the promotion of the teachers to the headmaster positions. Sources said that there are huge grievances mopping up within the education circle of Alipurduar district.
